What is KartUP?
KartUP is a free app for karting fans in Romania (iPhone, Android and web). Pick your city, see who is racing at which track and when, join a session lobby, chat with your group and race. Verified results earn you km and XP, so you climb the ranks and the track leaderboards.
Is KartUP free?
Yes. The app and the waitlist are free. You pay for your karting session at the track, at the track’s own price.
Which karting tracks are on KartUP?
In Bucharest: VMax Romexpo, VMax Titan and AMC Kart (Tunari). KartUP also lists VMax Cluj, VMax Brașov and VMax Timișoara.
How do the ranks work?
There are 8 ranks: Rookie, Amateur, Club Racer, Contender, Pro, Apex, Ace and Veteran. You rank up when you reach both the total km and the XP target. XP comes from every finishing position, podiums, fastest laps and new tracks. Ranks never go down.
Do I need karting experience?
No. Every session shows its level, so beginners and experienced drivers each find their group. Casual lobbies are just for fun and don’t count for the ranking.
When does KartUP launch?
KartUP starts with a launch race night for the drivers on the waitlist: qualifying heats, a final and a podium. The date, location and fee are sent to everyone who signed up.
